About Tim

Hi, I’m Tim

I was born and raised in Port Coquitlam, and I’m proud to still call it home. After finishing my carpentry training at BCIT more than 20 years ago, I started Tri City Trim with a simple goal: do great work, treat people right, and stand behind everything I build.

I’ve always believed the details matter. Finish carpentry isn’t just about getting the job done — it’s about getting it done properly. Over the years, some clients have started calling me “Timiculous,” which always makes me laugh, but I take it as a compliment. I genuinely care about clean lines, tight joints, and making sure everything looks and feels just right. Whether it’s a custom staircase, detailed trim work, or finishing touches that pull a room together, I take pride in craftsmanship that speaks for itself.

Most of my work has come through word of mouth, and that means a lot to me. When past clients refer me to their family and friends — or call me back for another project — that’s the biggest compliment I can get. I believe in clear communication, honest pricing, sticking to the budget, and finishing on time. If I say I’m going to do something, I do it.

When I’m not on site, you’ll usually find me with my family. I coach my son’s soccer team with the Port Coquitlam Football Club, and we love getting outdoors and camping whenever we can.

For me, this isn’t just about carpentry. It’s about serving my neighbours, building trust, and leaving every home better than I found it. I’m grateful to do what I love in the community that raised me.
